AI Specialist & Project Owner

You become internally responsible for Brightways' AI projects.

You run them together with the team and work closely with our external AI partner. Within Brightways you lead: what we pick up first, who does what and when something is done.

You build as well. You measure your success mainly by what the team does with it every day.

Your work includes:

• keeping an overview of all AI projects and choosing what delivers the most
• taking projects from idea to working solution, with a clear plan
• working with our external AI partner on Brightways' AI development
• mapping processes and deciding where AI saves time or improves the work
• building and improving skills, agents and workflows yourself
• connecting our Portal and tooling further to AI through MCP
• helping colleagues build their own playbooks, skills and agents
• setting standards and templates so teams reuse each other's solutions
• following new AI capabilities and turning them into applications for Brightways
• tracking which solutions the team uses and what they deliver

AI projects now run in different places across the company.

Brand Managers, Advertising and Operations already build their own solutions. We want to keep that pace.

What needs to be added is direction. Projects that fit together, get finished and then get used.

That is your responsibility.

The goal is not that everyone comes to you for AI. The goal is a team that keeps getting better at building and using AI itself.

The technical foundation is already in place.

Our own Portal replaces HubSpot and Monday, among other tools. We also built our own tooling and MCP connections, so AI can work with our systems and data.

The direction is set and has support internally.

You work with an external partner that specialises in AI.

What is missing is someone who pulls it all together. That will be you.

You have 1 to 3 years of work experience. More experience is welcome too.

You have already built or led AI solutions or automations that people work with every day. That can be in a job, as a freelancer or in a project of your own.

We are mainly curious about what you made and how you made sure it got used.

You are probably a good fit if you:

• use AI daily and intensively, and know what it can and cannot do
• are not put off by APIs, MCP, data and connections between systems
• move quickly from idea to working prototype
• can plan, prioritise and finish projects
• bring colleagues along into a new way of working
• explain clearly how something works, also to colleagues without a technical background
• enjoy working with an external partner on our AI development

You do not need to be an experienced developer. But you are technical enough to get things working yourself.

Still fairly junior? That is fine. We are looking for someone who is smart, moves fast, takes ownership and is curious. Someone who wants to grow with us.

This role is less of a fit if you mainly want to build on your own. Or if you would rather research what might be possible than make it work.

Brightways specialises in marketplaces such as Amazon and Bol.

Brands work with us for three things: more revenue, better margins and more control.

We work with Brand Managers, Advertising Specialists, Operations, Content and Design.

At the same time we build more and more of our own technology. Where off-the-shelf tools no longer fit, we built our own, around our own Portal, data and processes.

The next step is to bring AI much deeper into that way of working.

• €3,000 to €4,000 gross per month based on 40 hours
